In 1994 guys in ID Software decided to take successfull Doom franchise a move it to another level. They took the Doom engine and introduced a new series of fantasy games: Heretic, later with a sequel named Hexen. Like Doom, Heretic and consists of 3 playable episodes that you can play in any order. Each episode has 9 levels in total, including one hidden that you have to discover. The key of the game is to kill everything in your way and find your way to the exit. It's a classic shooter game with fantasy elements and you can store items in the inventory.
