If we are gonna talk about beautiful, cartoon adventures with engaging and humorous story, many of us would think of any adventure game from LucasArts. They have created many famous adventures, especially in the 90s. For me it was very surprising that Simon the Sorcerer does not have anything to do with LucasArts, because it is a really great adventure with nice cartooon graphics and humorous story. Simon is a small 14 year old boy who just celebrated his birthday. One evening his dog discovered a mysterious chest in the attic, which he opened and then jumped into it too. Simon has to help his dog from this chest and once he helped him, he noticed a few strange things that are lying in it. Among them is a mysterious book called "The Book of Magic", which fell on the floor and then creates the magical light - a gate to another dimension/universe. Dogs are very curious, so Simon's dog don't wait a jumps right into it. Simon has no other option, than follow his dog. Here the story of this great game begins. Simon finds himself in a mysterious land and very quickly he has to learn how to become an advanced magician. As one of the candidates was in fact chosen to save the great magician Calypso.
