Eojjeonji Joheun Il-i Saenggil Geot Gateun Jeonyeok
DOS game, 1997
Eojjeonji Joheun Il-i Saenggil Geot Gateun Jeonyeok, which means "A Night Where Good Things Are Bound to Happen," is a beat-em-up game from Korea. It's based on a comic book by Myung Jin Lee. In the game, you play as Namgoong Gunn, a teenager with a tough past. He's going to a new school, hoping to leave behind his old, violent life. But things change quickly when he sees a pretty girl and then someone steals his wallet. Chasing the thief, Gunn ends up fighting against a big criminal group.
The game is like the classic fighting games where you use punches, kicks, and jumps to beat enemies. But what's special about this game is it also has parts like a role-playing game (RPG). As you fight enemies, you earn points. When you get enough points, Gunn gets stronger. You can make him learn new moves like running fast, grabbing enemies, or standing up quickly after being knocked down. You can also make his health better or make him hit harder and move faster.
This mix of fighting like in arcade games and growing stronger like in RPGs makes Eojjeonji Joheun Il-i Saenggil Geot Gateun Jeonyeok a fun and different game. Players get to enjoy exciting fights and also see Gunn become more powerful as the game goes on.
