Vynikající hra na motivy knihy Briana Herberta. principem, jako v každé strategii, je zničit všechny a všechno. Na výběr jsou tři rasy, Atreidi, Harkoneni a Ordové. V Knize se ovšem ordové nevyskytují. V závěru hry se do boje přidá i sám Císař. Atreidi jsou v podstatě ty hodný, Harkoneni ty zlí a Ordové jsou obchodníci.

Děj je jednoduchý. Někde ve vesmíru je pouštní planetka. Má jenom jeden význam, těžbu koření. Kdo ovládá těžbu koření, ovládá vesmír. Pro prostudování dějů okolo duny doporučuju přečíst, popřípadě se podívat na film. Hrála v něm dokonce jedna česká herečka, ale nemůžu si vzpomenout na jméno

Do této doby je situována hra. V Prvních misích jen těžíte koření a lehce zbrojíte, ale postupem času se z vás stává pouštní válečník. v některých misích není skoro žádné koření a v jiných je zase moc nepřátel . Zpočátku je jendo za jakou rasu hrajete ale postupem času se rozdíly zvětšují. Nejdřív dostanete speciální zbraně. Já jsem si oblíbil sonic tank od atreidů, ale ostatní stojí také za to. Nakonec dostanete možnost stavět palác. Atreidi mohou posílat z paláce záškodnické jednotky, fremeny. Ostatní mají raketu schopnou zničit půlku základny.

Z budov máte na výběr z mnoha továren na autíčka, tanky, letadla a kasárny. Nejdůležitější je samozřejmě základní budova, kde se staví ostatní budovy. Důležitý je spaceport, kde můžete nakupovat jednotky za podstatně levnější ceny. ceny se ovšem často pohybují, takže je potřeba je sledovat. Svojí obranu můžete položit na dvou typech věží, raketové a střelecké. Raketové mají tu nevýhodu, že jsou schopné zničit i své okolí, tedy sebe. Mají ale velký dostřel. To je problém u všech raketových zbraní ve hře. Samozřejmostí jsou obrané zdi, ale proč stavět zeď když tam může bý věž že ano?

Hru začínáte s vojíčky a pár autíčky. Postupně můžete stavět silnější vozidla, pak tanky a nakonec speciální zbraně. Proslulý je Harkonenský devastator. Dokonce můžete postavit mobilní základnu, což se vyplatí když vám na hlavu přiletí raketa. Pěchota se dělí na skupiny, popřípadě jednotlivce.

Jinak doporučuji zahrát a dohrát za všechny rasy....
P.S: já jsem na duně vyrost....
