Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PES6)

Nowadays, PES is no longer such a huge competitor to FIFA as it was a dozen or so years ago. PES 6: Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (known as Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the United States) is one of the best-reviewed parts of this game series ever. It introduced many new features, such as the International Challenge mode, i.e. the equivalent of the FIFA World Cup, and new licensed teams, such as: The Netherlands, England, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and clubs such as Bayern Munich, Manchester United. This part was similar in gameplay to the fourth part, it was much more dynamic than the fifth part, actions, passes and shots were played much faster than in the previous part. Of course, team lineups have been updated, player animations and game graphics have also improved. The free kick system was also improved, thanks to which the player could play a set piece faster and surprise the opponent. The game also had a multiplayer mode, with up to eight people playing on one console. Pro Evolution Soccer still beats FIFA hands down. It may not be able to compete in terms of next-gen polish, but this is a case of matter over style. In terms of evolution, the new game might not be so pro, but it still offers a more rewarding football experience. And isn't that what everyone is after?

Boarder Zone

Boarder Zone is fun and entertaining, but only as a diversion. The single-player game lacks too many of the options and features you expect to see in a snowboarding game. Boarder Zone has many good qualities, but you'll find yourself going through all the game has to offer too quickly. It's more enjoyable as an arcade game to play with your friends, since the single-player mode is too dull otherwise. Boarder Zone's best features are its detailed graphics and its fluid 3D engine. When you go down a slope, your board leaves an imprint in the snow according to the powder level. When you turn, the board sprays snow as it cuts into the slope. When you fall, your hands and body leave print trails. There is also a nice replay option, and the chase camera always finds the best angles at which to follow your maneuvers. The lighting is realistic and provides atmosphere and a good sense of movement.

The people, helpless due to their lack of fighting skill, call for Wonder Boy, now a teenager, to destroy the monsters and defeat the MEKA dragon. During his journey, he must defeat monsters with the sword that he got at the beginning of his adventure. These monsters will leave either gold coins or bags of cash, which he can use to buy better weapons, shields, armors, and boots. At the end of each location, there is usually a boss that Tom-Tom must defeat in order to obtain a gold key that will unlock the exit gate, as well as plenty of gold coins or bags of cash. If he touches any enemies, or is shot at, he will lose health. During his travels, Tom-Tom must take note of the hourglass; if the hourglass display sands at the bottom, he must get another one that appears out of nowhere, or he'll also lose health. There are two ways in which he can restore it. He can either go into bars to have a drink that will restore it and get a hint about what lies ahead as well, or go into hospitals and heal himself to restore the lost health.

Wonder Boy

Wonder Boy is an arcade platform game developed in 1986 by Escape for Sega's arcade machines. However, before long, Sega itself also ported it to its SG-1000, Sega Master System and Game Gear consoles. After the title also appeared on the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad home computers in 1987, it became very popular and five more sequels were subsequently released. Wonder Boy is a typical platformer of its time, so it's based on speed. The protagonist is a boy known only as "Boy". He must quickly jump and run through seven levels to save his girlfriend Tina (Tanya in the console versions), held captive by a villain named Dark King. The basis of the gameplay is simple: along the way, Boy jumps over obstacles, collects fruits, tries to neutralize opponents and at the same time has to avoid traps that stand in his way. The boy can arm himself with a stone hatchet, which he can throw at oncoming foes, a skateboard with which he can rush through the levels and temporary protection by an angel which allows him to destroy foes by simply running into them. All of the aforementioned power-ups are obtained by breaking open eggs. These eggs can also contain unpleasant surprises – curses which cause him to lose vitality more quickly than usual, and poisonous mushrooms which reduce the boy's vitality in one go. At the end of every "area", the boy will encounter an incarnation of the chief antagonist as a boss character. Once defeated, the mighty lord's mask flies off and transforms into an item such as a tea cup or a piece of fruit, before subsequently making his escape.

Dirt Track Racing 2

In Dirt Track Racing 2, you'll find something like a cross between rally racing and NASCAR racing. Like in NASCAR races, you'll race on closed, purpose-built tracks. Here, most of the 14 tracks are oval variants with a few particularly dangerous figure-eight tracks thrown in for good measure. True to the game's name, you'll be racing across bumpy dirt surfaces, often wet ones, regularly sliding through the corners like a seasoned rally racer. Dirt Track Racing 2 is the next addition to the DTR family of racing simulators on muddy ovals. In your career, you race as a novice driver, in vehicles of three performance classes, at the beginning of course you take on a car from the weakest category. Before each season, you have to choose one of 15 championships (5 for each class), which differ in track layout, difficulty and reward for the winner.

Action Fighter

Action Fighter is a racing action arcade game originally released for the Sega console in 1986. The title is inspired by Spy Hunter. You take on the role of a secret agent tasked with destroying a boss at the end of each of the five top-down levels. At the beginning of each mission, you get a small motorcycle armed with a cannon. At first, the bike is weak, but occasionally a SEGA truck will appear in the game, and if you drive into it, it will reward you with a new weapon. First with the second cannon, then the rocket launcher, then the rear cannon, and finally temporary indestructibility. As you zigzag through traffic, you collect the letters A to F, with the letter D transforming the motorbike into a sports car that is more durable than a motorbike but attracts more attention from enemies. After collecting the letter F, the car turns into a plane and takes off from the road, turning the game into a classic aerial shooter. The goal of the game is to record the highest possible score, which you get by destroying enemies, civilian vehicles and also collecting special flags. After reaching every 10,000 points, you get an extra life.

Ace of Aces

Ace of Aces is a 1986 flight simulator by Artech. In the game, you will find yourself in the period of the Second World War, where you control a British RAF Mosquito aircraft. In various missions, you perform tasks such as stopping an enemy train, sinking a German ship, destroying Nazi planes or V-1 missiles, and the like. When in missions, the player controls a twin-engined balsa RAF Mosquito which is already airborne, mitigating the necessity of takeoff. When starting a mission, the player chooses what supplies they wish to bring, but the more the player brings the lower the maximum speed of the plane. At the end of missions, landing is not required and points are awarded according to how many enemies are shot down, along with the amount of unused fuel, bombs, and missiles. When missions are completed, the player can choose to combine two or more of the other missions to produce a mashup.

The rules for winning as almost the same, but players can battle each other while racing. Race tracks take place in four different types of environments including green, water, snow and magma zones. From now on don't ever let anyone tell you the SEGA Master System doesn't have any decent racing games. Stick in Buggy Run and give them what for.
