Although this game has a very scary name - Death Rally, it is a lot of fun at the same time and in some way we can label this game as a precursor to NFS underground (with guns). The most important part of this game is of course racing. You start with a small car that strongly recalls the VW beetle. Game review

Although this game has a very scary name - Death Rally, it is a lot of fun at the same time and in some way we can label this game as a precursor to NFS underground (with guns). The most important part of this game is of course racing. You start with a small car that strongly recalls the VW beetle. With this car you must gradually get better and win various races, so you can buy a better car and better parts. An important part of the game are the weapons, that you can buy on the illegal market and they help you to shut down your opponents and win races. Guns are not a necessary and you can also choose only pure racing without weapons.

The player is thrown into a series of races where there is no shortage of dirty practices. 20 drivers participate in the championship (among them is Duke Nukem himself with several of his announcements) in six different types of cars, graded according to performance. The first car resembling a VW Beetle is automatically assigned at the beginning of the game, after that it is up to the player, his skills and results, how much money he can earn and invest in improving the car or buying a new one. Armor, tires and, of course, engine performance can be improved.

There are a total of 10 tracks available, but they also have their own reverse variant. These are tracks in rocks, prairies, tropical forests, or on city roads and circuits. As the game progresses, the races and especially the rivals are harder to beat. When you reach the first place in the ranking, there is a long race with a legendary driver named Adversary, whose defeat is the main goal of the game.

The races are in three "performance" categories, first, second and third place are scored, the last fourth is unlucky. The winners in the individual race categories receive $750, $3,000, and $12,000 and the corresponding ranking points. In addition to driving itself, it is advisable to use various unfair practices in races. On the black market, you can buy a set of mines, a toothed bumper, rocket acceleration and sabotage for each race, which takes about a third of the life of the car that is the best placed in the ranking at that moment. Of course, you don't need to buy submachine guns in the front of the car, refillable nitro and random power-ups in the form of money, bullets, nitro, small vehicle repairs, or blurred vision with a poisonous mushroom.

The races themselves are great, it's a fight for life, but at the same time you have to think about the best possible position. As the game progresses, everything speeds up and even the tracks get harder. The final fight with the mythical rider is one step harder compared to the previous game and does not forgive any mistakes, but it always works out in the end.
