Kings of the Beach stands out as a classic in the realm of sports video games, offering players the chance to dive into the sun-soaked world of professional beach volleyball. Set against the picturesque backdrops of oceanfront beaches, the game invites you to participate in a prestigious volleyball tournament with the ultimate goal of being crowned the king of the beach. Alongside your teammate, you embark on a competitive journey through a series of matches, each more challenging than the last.

The game features a total of 15 levels, pitting you against up to 20 challengers who are all vying for the top spot in the tournament. The matches take place on the renowned beaches of Rio De Janeiro, Sydney, and Hawaii, each location bringing its own unique atmosphere to the gameplay. The scenic venues not only add to the game's visual appeal but also immerse players in the global culture of beach volleyball.

Here, the player has several modes to choose from, with training divided into multiple subsections. Here, you can try both a practice match against computer-controlled opponents, as well as choosing your opponent's serves or finishing at the net. The game also offers something like a career mode, where you progress match by match to increasingly stronger opponents and during the tournament you also reach other world-famous beaches. I personally spent the most time in this mode in co-op with a live teammate. On one computer, on one keyboard and what fun it was! After a while, successfully completing the game without losing a set became a matter of course.

Setting the difficulty, co-op, teammates and a few other nonsense takes place in the registration tent in the middle of the game map with a pretty blonde busty. I probably won't even comment on the graphics, they're just dice, the individual athletes all look the same de facto and with sound, you can only look at it with a huge smile today. Still great for a 32-year-old game, and I wouldn't be afraid to install it and reminisce a little even today.
