Many years ago the planet Balkhane was taken by hostile race known as Mecubarz, who occupied the planet and divided it into four realms, enslaved its people. After several failed attempts at liberation from the domination of Mecubarz residents Balkhane thought about a new plan - planet will be freed by one boy. Predictably you are putted in the role of a young boy named Quickthorpe, who was chosen to restore peace, fight against enemy creatures and merged back divided realms into one empire. Game Fable is not only just another classic cartoon adventure. It excels in the many things: solid story, great dialogues, good humor and above all beautiful, hand-drawn graphics. Simple, almost minimalist mouse control also shows all interactive objects on the screen. Most of the puzzles are based around working with the inventory. Fable had a lot of potential that was not quite fulfilled. Experienced players may find it to be a bit too easy, but it's certainly entertaining enough to provide light relief between tougher games and offers a reasonable challenge to players new to the genre. It is suitable for all the family, but just remember that it does contain some rather immature and uninspired dialogue.
