Game review

A game unofficially based on the movie license Alien and Aliens. The player finds himself in the shoes of one of two marines - Johnson and Stone, who are the only people on the abandoned space station ISRC-4. Their task is to clear the base from invaders. Alien Breed is often compared to the classic Gauntlet due to its top-down similarity and action style gameplay.

The player's task is to get to the elevator of the next level, or to blow up the existing level and to catch the elevator before that. More than any game, the famous "easy to play, hard to master" applies to Alien Breed. The principle was simple, but the means more complex. The lack of ammunition and the excess of intruders were often an insurmountable combination. In addition to searching for keys, the player also collected credits after the levels, which he then exchanged in Intex terminals for various improvements and cartridges, helping him against stronger opponents.

In Alien Breed, players are thrust into the midst of chaos and must navigate the labyrinthine corridors of the space station, facing the alien threat head-on. The primary objective is clear and urgent: stop the invasion by any means necessary, which in this game translates to engaging in relentless combat against the alien forces.

The gameplay is action-packed and intense, requiring players to be constantly on the move, strategically managing their ammunition and health resources while battling wave after wave of alien adversaries. The game's atmosphere is heightened by its top-down perspective, which adds a strategic element to the combat, allowing players to plan their moves and anticipate enemy attacks.
