Another "epic" game from Eclipse Productions and Epic Megagames will delight players with their first impression. You play as a pilot of a spaceship from the planet Tyrian, which you must protect from invasion from the rest of space. You go to other planets, asteroids, even in open space and fight with fleets of enemies. The principle of the game is to go through a number of levels in which you control your spaceship and simply shoot at enemies who swarm at you from front and back, improving your weapons, shields, power generators, and the ship itself. Raptor's stipe game, simple and playable. Occasionally you will encounter an orange flashing ball: Secret level! Yes! In secret levels you can come across various "haluze", such as a HotDog weapon. You shoot hot dogs at enemies. Or bananas. A funny concept embedded in a serious (!) Game.

Game review

Another "epic" game from Eclipse Productions and Epic Megagames will delight players with their first impression. You play as a pilot of a spaceship from the planet Tyrian, which you must protect from invasion from the rest of space. You go to other planets, asteroids, even in open space and fight with fleets of enemies.

Principle

The principle of the game is to go through a number of levels in which you control your spaceship and simply shoot at enemies who swarm at you from front to back, improving your weapons, shields, power generators, and the ship itself.

Control

The game offers a single player campaign, but also a two-player hot-seat. An interesting feature of multi games is the ability to "combine" your ships into one large ship, which has a stronger destructive potential. To play multiplayer, you need either a joystick + mouse or a mouse + keyboard. However, the game on the keyboard is quite limited, the movement of the ship is very slow using the arrows. Therefore, I recommend playing with a mouse or a joystick for connoisseurs. When playing with the mouse, control is ridiculously easy, shooting with the left, special weapons with the right button and a few bonuses using ctrl or alt.

Graphics

The game from '99 is really nicely designed and has a 3D effect, the manufacturers obviously cared. Colors and brightness are adjustable, which is a pleasant surprise for people who prefer lighter or darker monitors. Although everything will fly and explode on your screen, nothing is extremely distracting to your eyes, it's really smooth and nicely crafted.

Sound

When it comes to sound processing and SFX, the music is quite catchy and easy to compose. If you play all day, be prepared to get on your nerves. SFX are simple, explosions have only a few variations, but each weapon is sounded differently, which creates nice variations in effects. However, when you find that Laser is the best weapon in the game, for the rest of the game you will just listen to the high tone of BzZzZzZ!

UI

The user interface is very understandable and easy to read, the store (depot, hangar) is simple and clear. You can buy new ships (jééj, Carrot Ship!), Front guns, rear guns, and independent side guns. The shield is also an integral part. However, none of this would work if you did not buy a good electric generator. Each weapon can be upgraded about 10 times, ensuring the game progresses throughout the campaign. It is strange, however, that arms prices are not just being set objectively. The most expensive weapons I never used, they were useless. You have to find the best ones in the store yourself and try them all. But the nice thing is that the ship in the depot changes depending on what setup you have just set.

Gameplay

This game is super relaxing, you need attention and speed of hands. But once you come up with the principle of clearing levels, the game becomes a bit boring, because it will be the same in each level, and don't expect the action either. The only story is secured by Data Cubes, which you can sometimes find and you can read what is happening in the depot. If you don't want to, just shush-shup clean up another planet. Sometimes some Boss who is never extremely strong, if you know how to do it. Each level can be restarted, so the "Mission Failed" problem often doesn't occur here.

Sum Sumarum

Be sure to play Tyrian, it's worth it. You install, go through, uninstall. It will not mentally mark or harm you, but you will definitely have fun. And that's what games are all about.
