An easy-to-see, but not exactly the easiest platform game - with a certain amount of inspiration from NES Ninja Gaiden, where the player as a ninja fights against a number of opponents, including enemy ninjas, archers, or guard dogs. In addition to the cold sword, the ninja also possesses magical abilities that allow him to destroy enemies or replenish his health. Magical energy can be restored by collecting golden orbs. Under the title Budō, the game was published by Froggman 3 years later. Only the title screen (menu added) and names were changed. …read more

Game review

Everyone knows who the Ninja is. His ally is Shadow, his only friend is his sword, and his victims die unexpectedly. This game is also about Ninja ... although let's say probably not very successful, because his ally left him and his victims are waiting for him ...

Anyone who expected Shadow Knights to be a game full of hiding and stealing will probably not see it. It is an ordinary platformer. Your shadow knight brandishes his head with his katana and let's face it, you probably haven't sharpened it for a long time, because even three hits don't hinder the enemy at all. Well, nothing. Shuriken will definitely solve it between her eyes ... but she hopped! He probably forgot them at home. But it doesn't matter because our ninja was trained by Copperfield himself - and he is full of magic. So he can fade a huge shining star and evaporate such a red ninja with a huge club in front of him. Even so, because the enemies are already throwing themselves at him from all sides.

So so. So our Ninja is no expert when it comes to stealing. Shadow Knights is a furious action full of enemies (dogs, red ninjas with a bow, blue ninjas with a bow ... and more) And it just depends on your reflexes and skills or whether you move on. The already mentioned magic, in the form of points that you can add with balls, is used for attack and you can also use it to add a little life (1: 1) Graphically, the game is unattractive, and luckily the controls can be readjusted. The difficulty reaches great heights if you try to eliminate everyone. The best way in this case is to escape (Our Ninja is not even a very hero), so you can run to the final boss except for the necessary encounters.

Nothing extra ... but definitely a game that will find its fans (my father still plays it).
