In the first phase, you will build cheap rental houses or warehouses and only later villas and various other luxurious buildings. However, you will also have to deal with the competition and its indiscriminate tactics. Therefore, you will have no choice but to defend yourself with nefarious means. Constructor combines two unconventional fields, such as construction and the mafia, and at the same time takes it all with humor and insight. This approach distinguishes it from similar games in the given genre of building strategies. The game was later followed by Street Wars: Constructor Underworld.
The game begins on a modest plot of land, where players have their headquarters, a construction team comprising one master builder and five workers, and a repairman. These initial resources are critical as players embark on their first foray into the world of construction and property management. The early stages of the game emphasize the importance of resource management, starting with the construction of a mill to process wood, the fundamental building material for creating housing for lower-income tenants.
As the game progresses, players unlock the ability to construct a cement plant, a pivotal development that allows for the creation of more advanced and durable buildings. This progression from wooden shacks to concrete structures symbolizes the player's growth from a small-scale contractor to a significant player in the construction industry.
Moreover, Constructor incorporates an element of competition by pitting players against rival constructors who are equally determined to establish their dominance in the market. Players must navigate these challenges while also contending with the demands of city officials and the occasional criminal activities that can disrupt their operations.
